If Atlantic salmon are the king of fish and brook trout the crown prince, then largemouth bass are the barroom brawlers...

...especially the bigmouths from Texas. Toss a frog popper their way, and they’ll whup yore ass.



They’ll blast out of the lily pads with a longneck Lone Star in one fin and a middle-digit extended from the other. There's not
much a fly-fisher can do except hang on tight and holler yeeeeee-haw.
